सहाफ़त (उर्दू समाचार पत्र 9 अगस्त) के अनुसार इस्लामिक स्टेट से संबंध रखने के आरोप में पकड़ी गई एक महिला ने पूछताछ के दौरान पुलिस को बताया कि केरल में इस्लामी आतंकवादी संगठनों द्वारा गुप्तरूप से प्रशिक्षण शिविर चलाये जा रहे हैं जिनमे लोगों को जिहाद का प्रशिक्षण दिया जाता है। अब तक 40 लोगों को जिहाद का प्रशिक्षण दिया जा चुका है। यह जानकारी 28 वर्षीय अध्यापिका यामीन अहमद ने दी। उसने पुलिस को बताया कि अब्दुल रशीद नाम का व्यक्ति आईएस में भर्ती के लिए लोगों को प्रशिक्षण दिया करता था। एक वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी के अनुसार उत्तरी केरल के कासरकोड में इस व्यक्ति ने कुछ युवकों को जिहाद में हिस्सा लेने का प्रशिक्षण दिया था।
सहाफ़त (उर्दू समाचार पत्र 7 अगस्त) के अनुसार पुलिस ने आतंकवादी संगठन आईएसआईएस को वित्तीय साधन उपलब्ध कराने वाले अब्दुल्लाह हादी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। हादी पर आरोप है कि उसने मुंबई के आरीब मजीद और उसके चार सहयोगियों को आईएस में शामिल होने के लिए धनराशि उपलब्ध कराई थी। मजीद जब सीरिया से वापस भारत आया तो उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। जबकि उसके अन्य चार साथियों के बारे में कहा जाता है कि वे इस्लामिक स्टेट के लिए जिहाद करते हुए मारे गए। हादी को कुवैत में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। इसका पूरा नाम अब्दुल्लाह हादी अब्दुल रहमान अलांजी है। उसकी गतिविधियों पर सुरक्षा एजेंसियां काफी समय से नज़र रख रही थी।
इंकलाब (उर्दू समाचार पत्र 10 अगस्त) के अनुसार पुलिस ने आईएसआईएस से संबंध रखने के आरोप में एक 42 वर्षीय अध्यापक को गिरफ्तार किया है जिसका नाम रईसुद्दीन सिद्दीकी बताया जाता है। इससे पूर्व परभनी के एक नौजवान शेख इकबाल को गिरफ्तार किया जा चुका है। इसके अतिरिक्त महाराष्ट पुलिस 3 अन्य व्यक्तियों को भी इसी आरोप में गिरफ्तार कर चुकी है। पुलिस ने कहा है कि रईसुद्दीन ने अन्य तीन व्यक्तियों को आईएस के लिए भर्ती किया था।
