इंकलाब (उर्दू समाचार पत्र 29 जुलाई) के अनुसार महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा में शिवसेना ने आरोप लगाया है कि 1 सौ मुस्लिम नौजवान महाराष्ट्र के विभिन्न स्थानों से रहस्यमयी तरीके से गायब हो गए हैं। उसने कहा कि ये लोग आईएसआईएस के जिहादियों में शामिल होने के लिए गए हैं। सपा के विधायक आबू आसिम आज़मी ने इस आरोप का खंडन किया। इस पर उनकी शिवसेना नेता राहुल पाटिल से ज़ोरदार झड़प हो गई। मुख्यमंत्री देवेन्द्र फड़नवीस ने सदन को आश्वासन दिलाया कि इस मामले की जांच की जाएगी और गुप्तचर विभाग की रिपोर्ट आने पर उचित कार्यवाही की जाएगी। आज़मी ने कहा कि परभनी से जिन लोगों के लापता होने का मामला उठाया जा रहा है उनमे से अधिकांश की मानसिक स्थिति ठीक नहीं है। उन्होने कहा कि यह आरोप जानबूझकर मुस्लिमों को बदनाम करने के लिए लगाया जा रहा है। शिवसेना के नेता राहुल ने कहा कि उनकी जानकारी पुख्ता है और अबू आज़मी जानबूझकर इस मामले में लीपापोती कर रहे हैं।
इंकलाब (उर्दू समाचार पत्र 30 जुलाई) के अनुसार परभणी और नांदेड़ में कई लोगो को आईएसआईएस से संबंध रखने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया है। मुस्लिमों के एक प्रतिनिधिमण्डल ने मुख्यमंत्री से भेंट करके ये दावा किया कि जिन लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है वे निर्दोष हैं। सरकारी सूत्रों ने गिरफ्तार किए गए व्यक्तियों की संख्या बताने से इंकार कर दिया है और कहा है कि अभी कुछ लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है जिनसे विस्फोटक पदार्थ बरामद हुए हैं। उनसे पूछताछ की जा रही है। पुलिस ने इस बात की पुष्टि की है कि जिन लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है उनके खिलाफ ठोस सबूत हैं। उन्होने इस बात का खंडन किया कि इस्लाम का प्रचार करने के आरोप में किसी भी व्यक्ति को नहीं पकड़ा गया है बल्कि जिन लोगों के खिलाफ इंटरनेट और सोशल मीडिया से आईएसआईएस से संपर्क साधने के बारे में ठोस सबूत हैं उन्हे ही गिरफ्तार किया गया है।
