Save Sharda Committee Kashmir under leadership of Ravinder Pundita to celebrate Bhagwan Adi Shankaracharya Jayantiat Shankracharya temple Hill in Srinagar

Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (Regd.) is  participating in the Sharda Jayanti celebrations on 20th. April at Shankracharya temple Hill in Srinagar, Kashmir. The 7 day long event has already begun with daily Homams and yagnyas for world peace and prosperity at Mata Jyeshtha Devi complex since 14th. April. The week long event will conclude at 12:30 PM on 20th. April at Shankracharya hills, overlooking famous Dal Lake. The event is organized by Kanchi Kamakoti Swargya Peetham, which is organizing Shankara Jayanthi Mahotsav for the last so many years. The mutt is being headed by Saraswati Vijendra ji of Kanchi, disciple of Saraswati Jayendra Swami, who left his Physical body a few months back.It is said that the great saint Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya, who hailed from Kerala travelled to Kashmir , more than two millennia ago and spread the vedic message of truth, oneness and harmony. Rajtarangini of Kalhana has recorded he existence of Shankaracharya temple and its consecration by King Gopaditya. Kashmir has been a centre for Vedic traditions and culture. It is abode of Goddess saraswati and Kashyapa maharishi.

Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (Regd.) is also participating with its followers and led by its Head and founder Sh. Ravinder Pandita, who is leading a team from New Delhi. The committee has come into prominence after getting flowers laid at Sharda Peeth in POK , the highest peeth of Shankracharya followers in 2006. Later in March’ 2007 through the civil society of POK (AJK) a photo of Sharda Mai was installed there in the temple and in January this year, the committee secured a landmark judgement on the preservation of Sharda Peeth by Supreme court of AJK. Save Sharda Committee has also requested media to join the Bhagwan Adi Shankracharya Jayanti celebration  at 12: 30 Pm on 20th. April and cover the event and give a wider publicity throughout the nation.
