शंकराचार्य स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानन्द सरस्वती जी महाराज द्वारा गठित भारत की पहली गो संसद विगत दिनांक 2 अगस्त से प्रारम्भ हुई है जो दिल्ली के तेरापंथ भवन में चल रही है। गो संसद के दौरान जगद्गुरु शंकराचार्य जी महाराज की प्रेरणा से बने गौ गठबंधन के राष्ट्रीय संयोजक एवं भारतीय युवा विद्यार्थी संगठन के संस्थापक एवं राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष राजा सक्षम सिंह योगी को प्रतापगढ़ संसदीय क्षेत्र से गौ सांसद के रूप में मनोनीत किया गया है। पूरे देश के 543 लोकसभा क्षेत्रों से लोगों ने जगद्गुरु शंकराचार्य जी के सानिध्य में गौ सांसद के रूप में दिल्ली में शपथ ली। इसी क्रम में राजा सक्षम योगी ने प्रतापगढ़ संसदीय क्षेत्र से गौरक्षा की शपथ लेते हुए गौमाता को राष्ट्रमाता घोषित कराने हेतु व गोकशी पूर्णतः प्रतिबंधित कराने हेतु अपना हर संभव प्रयास एवं योगदान प्रदान करने का संकल्प लिया।
विदित है कि राजा योगी समाज सेवा के लिए अपना जीवन समर्पित कर चुके है और पट्टी क्षेत्र के सक्रिय युवा नेता के रूप में पहचाने जाते है राजा सक्षम योगी के गौ सांसद पद पर मनोनीत होने की खबर सुनते ही क्षेत्रीय लोगों में ख़ुशी कि लहर दौड़ पड़ी और लोगों में दूरभाष एवं सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से बधाई व मंगलकामना सम्प्रेषित की है ।
