Open letter to Meitei Hindus to strengthen your fight against injustice
Namaskar Dear Meitei Hindus.
It’s my pleasure to address you all through this first open letter to you.
You, Meitei Hindus, mostly live in Manipur, but live in small numbers in other places also like Tripura, Mizoram, Nepal, Bangladesh & rest of India. Over the time, Meitei Hindus have migrated also to outside India & flourished. But wherever You all are living, I have realised that you are proud of your spiritual & Cultural heritage and all the time connected to your roots also. This is your real treasure and strength for which please accept my kudos.
After the present crises for Meitei Hindus in Manipur, you all, from wherever you are, have risen with a valour and countered the problem head on with a brave heart. Your efforts are not just confined to big rallies in Manipur, but your warriors are fighting on Social Media also, telling the whole India what you are facing & you want a solution to it. Your fighters also are fighting on ground with groups who are firing bullets & bombs on you, but you have not shown your back to them, but instead you have shown them what steel you are made of. Your organisations have landed in Delhi also & are right on task for justice for Meitei Hindus. In single line, I would say that you are writing a new history which will end up with another victory for you.
Your struggle is much bigger than recent farmers struggle also because whole opposition political parties were with them and all top opposition leaders also were standing shoulder to shoulder with farmers. But with you Meitei Hindus, not just political party in power is against you, but none of opposition political parties are with you at present either. Rather many of them are against you. There is a section of Media also against you and portraying your wrong image. So it’s time of test for you & it’s time of showing real character for you.
Even though so many elements against you, I know that there are many others who are with you. Common Hindus of rest of India who are coming to know about more about you, your great culture & your present problem have started supporting you at large. This number is not small, this number is huge and increasing daily, which you will witness soon. Honestly I also never knew about Meitei Hindus and now I am overwhelmed after knowing about your beautiful culture and special tradition of expressing spirituality. Another thing I realised about Meitei Hindus after taking to few is that you are very ethical in your behaviour and you have earned a great respect from me for that.
My this letter to you all is to alert on one big mistake that almost every Hindu community has done in past, whether be Kashmiri Hindus facing Jihad by Islamic fundamentalists in Kashmir, Punjabi Hindus facing Khalistani terrorism in Punjab or any other community facing anti-Hindu groups targeting them in their living territory.
That big mistake is “Political Division among themselves”.
This Political Division, i.e. preference of different political parties by various mini groups in particular Hindu Community and thus creating political rivalry among themselves, creating huge divide among themselves and absolutely demolishing their own integrity. This process happened with all Hindu Communities, and eventually they got divided among themselves, started competing each other for political parties and their own very cause of fight against the injustice not just got weakened, but actually got lost, and they have not got justice till date. Political parties will come to you asking for support now, but will promise to give you benefit secretly tomorrow. But you will have to learn the art of negotiating them to declare their promises openly now for you and start working for that immediately. A promise of benefit secretly tomorrow will never be fulfilled. So there must be a competition among political parties to fulfill your demands now, rather than a competition among yourselves for their fake promises to be fulfilled tomorrow.
As a mission statement of your struggle, your mindset must be clear that
“Meitei Hindus interest first, political parties second”.
With this psychological setup, you will be successful in keeping the integrity intact and achieve in your mission. Otherwise, political parties and their allied organisations will infiltrate your groups, plant their supporters and spoil your whole struggle for their political benefits, just as they have done with Kashmiri Hindus, Punjabi Hindus and other states where Hindus keep on getting occasional challenges.
So dear Meitei friends, remember my words that you are fighting for your survival and identity, and can not tolerate any division among yourselves.
With this, I end up my first open letter. But I will another open letter soon for you to avoid another big mistake which other Hindus communities have done and still now they are doing. I am not expert on everything but I will write for every Hindu community’s welfare after observations I have made so far.
