वेद, स्मृति और पुराणों के आश्रय स्थान शंकर भगवत्पाद के नाम से विख्यात आद्य भगवत्पाद शंकराचार्य का 2531वां जंयती महोत्सव आज वैशाख शुक्ल पंचमी को धूमधाम से काशी स्थित श्रीविद्यामठ में मनाया गया।

सर्वप्रथम आद्य भगवत्पाद शंकराचार्य जी महाराज के विग्रह का सविधि वैदुक मंत्रोचार से पूजन हुआ।जिसके अनन्तर वैदिक विद्यार्थियों ने मंगलाचरण प्रस्तुत किया।

कार्यक्रम स्थल पर सभा का आयोजन किया गया।जिसमे विद्वानों ने अपना विचार व्यक्त किया।

उपस्थित भक्तजनों को सम्बोधित करते हुए ज्योतिष्पीठाधीश्वर जगदगुरु शंकराचार्य स्वामिश्री: अविमुकेश्वरानंद: सरस्वती जी महाराज के शिष्य ब्रम्ह्चारी परमात्मानंद जी ने कहा की अद्वैत दर्शन से भारतवर्ष सहित संपूर्ण जगत को आलोकित करने वाले आद्य भगवत्पाद शंकराचार्य को जयंती पर शत्-शत् वंदन।आद्य भगवत्पाद शंकराचार्य जी महाराज ने बहत्तर से अधिक मत मतान्तरों को शास्त्रार्थ में पराजित कर सनातनधर्म को पुर्नस्थापित किया। आपने चार दिशाओं में चार पीठों की स्थापना कर देश को आध्यात्मिक व सांस्कृतिक एकता के सूत्र में बांध दिया। जो पूरे देश की एकता का आधार बना। साथ ही हम सब का परम सौभाग्य है कि उस ऐतिहासिक स्थान पर आज आचार्य शंकर का जयंती महोत्सव मना रहे हैं।जहां आचार्य शंकर ने अपने प्रचलित सौंदर्य लहरी की रचना की थी।

सभा की अध्यक्षता करते हुए साध्वी पूर्णाम्बा दीदी जी ने कहा कि परमधर्माधीश ज्योतिष्पीठाधीश्वर जगदगुरु शंकराचार्य जी महाराज गौमाता को राष्ट्रमाता घोषित कराने ऐतिहासिक धर्माभियान चला रहे हैं जिससे जुड़ कर हर सनातनधर्मी को अपना श्रेष्ठ योगदान प्रदान करना चाहिए।

सभा संचालन पं शम्भू शरण पाण्डेय ने किया।

सम्पूर्ण आयोजन में मे प्रमुख रूप से सर्वश्री:-साध्वी शारदाम्बा दीदी, द्वारका से पधारे ब्रम्ह्चारी सिद्धानंद जी, आचार्य अनंत भट्ट, ओमप्रकाश पाण्डेय, दीपेश दुबे, बालेंदु मिश्र, हरिश्चंद्र शर्मा, रवि त्रिवेदी लता पाण्डेय, नीलम दुबे, सावित्री पाण्डेय, प्रेमा तिवारी, विजया तिवारी सहित सैकड़ों की संख्या में लोग उपस्थित थे।
