भारतीय राजनीति “जाति हटाओ, जाति हटाओ” के नारों से गूंजती रहती है। सभी राजनैतिक दल जाति विरोधी होने की माला तो जपते हैं, किंतु आज पुनः जाति की शक्ति और स्वाभिमान का प्रभाव हमारे सामने है कि सरकार के विपक्ष के सबसे बड़े नेता श्री राहुल गांधी जी की सदस्यता जाति के अपमान पर ही निरस्त हो गई।
2019 लोकसभा चुनावों के समय कर्नाटक के कोल्लार में एक जनसभा में राहुल गांधी ने भाषण दिया था। तब राहुल अपनी जनसभाओं में ‘चौकीदार चोर है’ के नारे लगाते और लगवाते थे, उसी भाव में यहां भी भाषण दिया, और नीरव मोदी का नाम लेते हुए कह दिया, ‘सभी चोरों का सरनेम मोदी क्यों हैं?
राहुल गांधी जी के इस बयान को पूरे मोदी समाज का अपमान बताते हुए भाजपा विधायक पूर्णेश मोदी ने उनके ख़िलाफ़ मुक़दमा दर्ज कराया था.
अब उन्हें दो साल की जेल की सज़ा सुनाई गई है। सज़ा के बाद राहुल ने कोर्ट में कहा कि उन्होंने जो बोला, वो राजनेता के तौर पर बोला. कहा, “मैं हमेशा देश में भ्रष्टाचार का मुद्दा उठाता रहा हूं.”
राहुल गांधी जी इस निर्णय को न्यायालय में चुनौती देंगे, भविष्य में जो भी निर्णय आए, किंतु मैं यहां जाति की शक्ति समझाना चाहता हूं।
मेरा विषय यहां ये समझाना है कि अब तो राजनेताओं को जाति की शक्ति को मानना पड़ेगा। राहुल जी के मोदी पर दिए वक्तव्य को कैसे मोदी जाति से जोड़ा गया, कैसे सारा मोदी समाज विरोध में उठ खड़ा हुआ और कैसे आज राहुल कोर्ट से 2 वर्ष का दंड पाने के बाद अपनी सांसदी खो बैठे। जाति का स्वाभिमान अतुल्य है, जाति व्यक्ति को समाज से जोड़कर रखती है। इसीलिए मैं जाति समर्थक हूं।
राजनेताओं स्वयं बताएं कि क्यूं वे जाति छोड़ने को बोलते हैं, फिर जाति के अपमान के विरुद्ध ही न्यायालय में जाते हैं।
सत्य यही है कि जाति न जायेगी, न जानी चाहिए, जाति है तो व्यक्ति की पहचान है और समाज एकजुट है।
