आज सायं 4 बजे परमाराध्य अनंतश्री विभूषित ज्योतिष्पीठाधीश्वर जगद्गुरु शंकराचार्य स्वामिश्री: अविमुकेश्वरानंद: सरस्वती जी महाराज ने केदारघाट पर भगवती गंगा की षोडशोपचार पूजन,आरती कर भगवती गंगा को छप्पन भोग समर्पित किया।
वरिष्ठ वैदिक विद्वान आचार्य धनंजय दातार जी,पं दीपेश दुबे जी,पं अभिषेक दुबे जी,पं किरण कुमार शास्त्री जी आदि विद्वानों ने वैदिक मंत्रों से भगवती गंगा का षोडशोपचार पूजा सम्पन्न कराया।इस दौरान भगवती को धुप,दीप,नैवेद्य व वस्त्र इत्यादि समर्पित कर पूज्य शंकराचार्य जी ने भगवती गंगा की आरती की तत्तपश्चात भगवती गंगा के तट पर ही छप्पन माताओं द्वारा अग्नि प्रज्ज्वलित कर बनाये गए छपन्न भोग को पूज्य शंकराचार्य जी महाराज ने भगवती गंगा को अर्पित किया और कार्यक्रम का नाम छप्पन भोग छप्पन लोग दिया।
पूजन आरती के बाद उपस्थित जन समुदाय को आशीर्वचन प्रदान करते हुए पूज्य शंकराचार्य अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद: सरस्वती जी महाराज ने कहा कि जब व्यक्ति मन मे भगवती गंगा का स्मरण करता है तो पाप उससे दूर हट जाते हैं और व्यक्ति के गंगा जी की ओर कदम बढ़ाते ही पाप उससे कोसो दूर भाग जाते हैं और जब व्यक्ति भगवती गंगा का जल अपने ऊपर छिड़कता है या गंगा में डुबकी लगाता है तो उसकी 101 पीढियां तर जाती हैं।हम सबका सौभाग्य है कि भगवती गंगा का सानिध्य व कृपा प्राप्त हो रहा है।भगवती गंगा ने ब्रम्हा जी से कहा था कि जिस दिन धरती पर लोगो की आस्था हमसे समाप्त हो जायेगी उसी दिन हम स्वर्ग गमन कर जायेंगे।भगवती गंगा हमलोगों के मध्य चिरकाल तक रहें इसके लिए हमलोगों को निरंतर भगवती की पूजन कर उनके प्रति श्रद्धा निवेदित करनी होगी।
अधिवक्ता रमेश उपाध्याय जी व सतीश अग्रहरी जी आदि ने संकल्प लेकर जागेश्वर मंदिर एक अखंड दीप प्रज्ज्वलित किया था कि जब तक पूज्य शंकराचार्य जी महाराज काशी नही आयेंगे तब तक दीप प्रज्ज्वलित रहेगा।और आज सैकड़ों दिवस पश्चात उस प्रज्ज्वलित दीप को लाकर पूज्य शंकराचार्य जी महाराज को समर्पित किया।
कार्यक्रम का समापन पंडित कृष्ण कुमार तिवारी जी के भवपूर्ण भजन से हुआ।
उक्त जानकारी देते हुए शंकराचार्य जी महाराज के वाराणसी क्षेत्र के प्रेस प्रभारी सजंय पाण्डेय ने बताया कि कल दोपहर 3 बजे पूज्य शंकराचार्य जी महाराज श्रीविद्यामठ में बसंत पूजन करेंगे।
